No Other Land ... than Germany
Historical Amnesia: a german disease characterized by the compulsory and proudly repetition of fascistic behavioral patterns without any recognition of being doing it
In middle of one of the darkest times in human history -not acknowledge as so for many people who perhaps like to be lied and are happy to live in a miserable normalized reality-, seeing how the faked but widely proclamed “moral values” of the western “civilization” are not only pornographically exposed as they really are in a daily basis, watching every day how the structures who allegedly brought protection against and limits to the exploitation, opression and murder to the people by rogue regimes -name them international organizations and international law- are utterly disregarded with contempt for abusive powers in plain campaign of murderous actions in complicity ….
… and just something beautiful happen: the stage of the Berlin International Film Festival, the “Berlinale”, has the strange and beautiful oportunity to presence on the stage, the statement of two awarded creators of a film, one palestinian and the other an israeli, united for their dispair and seek of justice, taking the oportunity of being visible and calling for a CEASEFIRE, just in middle of an impossible GENOCIDE unfolding day by day since almost 5 months in Gaza, with no evidence of real desire of stop it, even being a “text Book case of Genocide” by the international genocide experts, and being Israel since the beginning of this year in trial for genocide by the World Court.
This two men give us hope, a hope in a future that the “leaders” of the world seems to be engaged in destroy.
Hier the transcription of the text attached to the video:
“When 'No Other Land' - a film about the displacement of Palestinians in the Masafer Yatta region in the occupied West Bank - won the documentary film award at the Berlinale last weekend, its Palestinian director, Basel Adra, used his acceptance speech to not only highlight the Israeli forces' relentless and genocidal war on Gaza but also urged Germany to stop sending weapons to Israel.
Adra's co-director, Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham, also spoke of a system of “apartheid” in the occupied West Bank and called for a ceasefire and end to Israel's occupation of Palestine.
While the audience applauded the duo's speeches at this year’s Berlin International Film Festival, Europe’s first major film festival of the year and better known as the Berlinale, outside Potsdamer Platz the backlash from German authorities was rife.
“Berlin has a clear stance when it comes to defending freedom," Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner told rbb. "This also means that Berlin is firmly on Israel’s side…I expect measures from the new Berlinale festival management."
Israel’s Ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor posted a tweet on X, formerly known as Twitter, where he criticized Germany’s cultural scene: “At the Berlinale, antisemitic and anti-Israel statements were greeted with thunderous applause."
Meanwhile, Green Party politician Daniela Billig said: “I perceived this as an emotional and moral low point" and a cultural policy spokesperson from her person warned there could be "political damage to the Berlinale", adding that "the cultural scene has done itself a disservice".”
Israel, as every person can see in the hearings at the International Court of Justice about the Apartheid in the Palestinian Occupied Territorys, has being compelled by the statements on court by decens of countrys, to end immediatly its absolutely ilegal occupation of Palestine (only US, UK and Zambia had defend the impossible position of Israel: US and UK are complicits in the ongoing zionist crimes; Zambia perhaps had bussiness with Israel or want to have, or whatever I can´t imagine… the zionist lobby has its hand everywhere).
But it is cristal clear for all people with still a minimum of capacity to see, to think, to feel, that Israel IS an APARTHEID state … then it is not a “democracy”, but a bloody ethno-supremacist-settler-colonial entity.
No Mr. Wagner, you can not said “Berlin is firmly on Israel’s side” (because) “Berlin has a clear stance when it comes to defending freedom”.
No Mr. Wagner, first, because you are not Berlin. You can’t speak in the name of all of us, Berlin citizens.
Perhaps you can speak in the name of some berliners, the ones who voted for you (I can’t imagine why they did such a thing).
Even, I can added that in the last times, it is nothing “clear” the stance of Berlin when it comes to “defending freedom”: it was cancelled, and still seems to be hostage of the political class, who decide to destroy in any manners the core idea of freedom.
Health freedom. Freedom of speech. Freedom of expression. Freedom to dissent. Freedom to move. Freedom to be in a public space. Freedom to work.
All of them were cancelled some years ago because a scamdemic was unleashed in the minds of the people, twisting their perceptions of reality, globally deployed and still working in the shadows, because the globlalist gang never rest, and the mindset of many people was already dramatically changed, being ready for next steps on the agenda.
You, as so many politicians, decide to not have memory. But we, at least the awaken people, we do remember.
Yes, someones not: they did fall in the many traps settled every day by every step, and lost their capacity to feel the lack of freedom, the lack of dignity, the lack of health, the lack of empathy, as they lost the capacity to enjoy think freely, to take risks and decide for themselfs and to learn.
But we remember.
Ah! almost I forgot it: to Green Frau Daniela Billig1, your comment IS the “emotional and cultural low point” -as your party is too, both engaged in a very weird, strange and denigrating crusade.
We are Berlin too, and we have a clear stance when defending justice and freedom.
FREE PALESTINE - CEASEFIRE NOW - END THE OCCUPATION - JUSTICE
Incredible coincidence: “Billig” in german means “cheap”.
